Aripika Fishing Club Trip of January 29, 2015

Aripika Fishing Club
Redfish, Sea Trout, and Drum Trip of January 29, 2015

We started off poorly today, in the cold and wind.  But we ended the trip strong.  We met at the Aripika dock but the tide was too low to launch the boat.  We would not be able to get into Fillman’s Bayou hot-spots either.  Thus, we launched out of Hernando Beach and teamed up with Captain Chaz and his guests.  At dawn, it turned out to be a cold ride out some six miles to the fishing grounds.

The tides were against us today, as seen below.

So we followed Captain Chaz out to his hot-spot.

How cold was it?  Check out the layers of clothing in these pictures.  Randy is hunkering down out of the wind here.

It took a while to find the fish.  Then Ron landed a nice Sea Trout.

Gene too.  He is wearing four layers of clothing.

Ron caught the big trout of the day.

Captain Josh joins Ron for a photo.

Terry soon lands a trout too.

All told, it turned out to be a solid fish catching day.

Jim, Kenny, Jerry, and Gordon Catch a Bunch of Fish on 1/6/2015

Kenny, Jim, Jerry, and Gordon headed out of Arpika on a cold day.

They made their way into Fillman's Bayou on a rising tide.

Captain Josh led them into the bayou with the trolling motor.  They weren't alone.

Jim shows off a nice redfish with Jerry looking on.

Gordon shows that he can catch fish too.

Kenny prepares to cast out a shrimp.

With good results!

Back at the dock, they show off their catch.

Thanks for the pictures Jim and Captain Josh.
