Aripeka Fishing Club - Outing of December 28 2016

It was a great day on the water, foggy at first and then the sun came out.  Terry, Ron, Randy and Gene caught a limit of Redfish and 10 Sea Trout.

Captain Josh set the course into Fillman's Bayou.



We saw a bunch of dolphin today, often in just two feet of water.

The fog gave Fillman's a different look today.

 Then the skies cleared and the wind picked up.

Ron landed a nice Redfish.

There were eyes on us as we fished.

 

Ron fought a Redfish out of the brush, another nice fish for Ron.

 Randy brings a Redfish into the boat too.

Gene too.

 It was beautiful out there today.

Nice catch.  A limit of Redfish plus 10 Sea Trout.

Aripeka Fishing Club Trip of December 19 2016

It was a calm and clear day out on the Gulf today.

Randy, Ryan, Jim and Gene caught a variety of fish, including grouper, redfish, drum, and sheep head.  Jim caught the big one.

As usual, there was an abundance of wildlife around us throughout the afternoon.

There are many ways to navigate the waters of Fillman's Bayou.

Big clouds, big water, big fish.  It was a fun day.

Aripeka Fishing Club Trip of December 12, 2016

It was a foggy day fishing off Aripeka today.  We caught four nice Grouper, but two of them were 1/4 inch short of the 24" length requirement.

We headed for Fillman's Bayou in search of Sea Trout.  The fog was thick.  We caught a few but they were biting light.

Captain Josh has really upgraded his boat over the past year.  Take a look.
